Beautiful river ChandraBhaga

Udaipur is located on the banks of ChandraBhaga River in Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. The pilgrimage site Trilokinath is nearby Appox 8 km from Udaipur market. Although roads are good normally but link roads may not be good. Both Hindus and Buddhists peoples believe in Trilokinath.

Mrikula Devi temple is nearby attraction for peoples who come to Trilokinath (Loard Shiva) temple. Mrikula Mata & Trolikanath temples are nearby places. Saptdhar hills is hill place for small trek of 4-5 hours. appox 3 hours from Trilokinath temple.

The best time to visit Udaipur is between May to September. Rest of the year, you may find difficulties. Although we visited in winter December and Atal tunnel was open. So depends on how you want to go and how long you want to spend time there.

What is best time to travel

We prefer summer season , once Rohtang Tunnel / Atal Tunnel is open. Just contact local peoples and make sure road is open. If you are travelling in winter season, make sure to have proper arrangements for cloths with you. Last time we visited in December 2022 , night temperature was -18 degree.

Where to Stay at Udaipur

Now a days, you will find many Gest houses and local hotels available for you but carrying water thrums and food is preferred for emergency. You may not get proper water in hotel due to freezing temperatures and in may guest houses or hotels it will be available after 12.00 PM only. Because pipes and supply gets freezed during winter or low temperature. KC guest house is available near to bus stand Udaipur.

Nearby Places

Mrikula Mata & Trolikanath temples are nearby places. Saptdhar is hill place for small trek of 4-5 hours.
